Dick,
I'm a wonderful recipient of an autographed book of "Mornings with Barney" that you were so kind to sign in memory of my beloved "Tee" who past away on March 9th after 16+ glorious years. I'm blessed with this book out of your kindness and also of a great friend, Howard Storck. I will always treasure this gift and am still wiping away the tears as I type this reply. Reading your book was quite an emotional ride for me but I'm so glad that you wrote it and I was fortunate enough to have absorbed it. Several pictures within your book of Barney seemed almost duplicate of our Tee especially the one with the children with Down Syndrome and with the Girl Scouts. Many thanks for signing the book and I'm most grateful for your efforts to convey your love for Barney and his unconditional love in return with ink and paper!!! My sentiments and experiences with Tee has many parallels with you and Barney.
Sincerely and wishing you, your family and Toby the very best,
Jim Forsythe
Thanks, Jim. Have a good fourth
I just finished reading Mornings with Barney. I laughed & I cried. I am so glad that you wrote this book. And even though I am southerner and LOVE our warm weather, I wish I had lived in Indiana when you and Barney were on the air. I am a Beagle lover and currenlty have a wonderful girl named Taffy. She is 14 and I hope to have her around many more years. I, like you, don't know what I will do when she is gone. Thank you again for writing this book.
